Some mornings I focus on good news
Not that I ignore drama that demands attention:
House on fire or flooding.
Acute illness of myself or loved one which warrants
a trip to the hospital room.
A loved one who needs to vent.
Today:
Peggy – an amazing friend – has a birthday.
The world is better because of her.
Youth Services offering on line resuscitation training.
Dozens of youth teams reach for “Destination Imagination “ title.
Coaching Boys into Men – a program for middle school male
athletes to reduce abusive behavior towards females.
Junior leagues accepting scholarship applications
Man recognized for service to fellow Marines.
Local college partners with business school of university in
Pittsburgh.
Friendly greetings from friends around the world via the internet.
A heartfelt good morning to and from many at a local gym.
Fresh coffee with just a touch of half and half.
Early songs from the birds making their home in the large pine
in my yard.
Indoor plumbing.
A brief warmup foreshadowing spring.
Hosting a birthday dinner for a best friend.
The gift of work for which I have a passion.
Access to health care at the Veterans Administration.
No Pollyanna here although some might draw such a conclusion.
I know life daily shows up in all the shades of the rainbow.
I know life show up in all the shades of black and grey.
Some say the cradle of loving kindness holds us so we can greet all that life brings.
Some say the cradle is crafted of good news.
