On this day we honor the dreams of Martin Luther King Jr.
We borrow his dreams which he borrowed from Langston Hughes
who borrowed his from….
He dreamed of a world of a powerful non-violent dance;
the dance of Bigger Thomas whose epiphany was;
“You can’t do nothin but kill me and that ain’t nothin.”
I dream a world in which we do not give away our power
To love
To dream
To Be
To stand proud
I dream a world in which the supreme leader is Medea (non-violent of course) who, with firm love, says we will sit together until we learn to honor the sacredness of each other.
I dream a world of the snowflake in the Winer Poem by Nikki Giovani which becomes a spring rain growing the flower.
I dream a world in which we dance the dance of faith with Maya Angelou until it becomes the singing of the caged birds.
I dream a world in which we free our dreams from the prisons which are padlocked with our fear..
I dream a world.
